About Fripp:

Fripp is a completely private island. The island has 24 hour security and only owners and guest of owners are allowed onto the island. The preferred methods of transportation on the island are by golf cart, bicycle, or walking. There are a couple of souvenir/clothing shops, a marina store with sandwiches for lunch, and general store for grocery essentials. Fripp is a nature preserve. Golf, Tennis, Swimming Pools, Marina on Fripp: Two championship golf courses (Geroge Cobb & Davis Love III), tennis center with eight clay courts, four pool complexes, full marina with dockage, storage, and ramp.

Beach: The beach at Fripp is approximately 3.5 miles long.

Golf and Restaurants adjacent to Fripp: Restaurants for lunch and dinner are Johnson Creek about 5 miles, the Shrimp Shack about 6 miles, and Boondocks about 7 miles towards Beaufort. Beaufort is 18 miles and offers plentiful restaurants. Public golf is available at Parris Island, Lady’s Island, Cat Island, and Beaufort. All in the 15 to 20 mile range.

Charter Fishing: Available on Fripp and in Beaufort.

Surf Boards & Kayaks: Rentals available in Beaufort with delivery service to Fripp.

Area Sights: Hunting Island is a state park with a lighthouse that is 3 miles from Fripp. Beaufort which is 18 miles has many historic homes, walking tours, shops, and restaurants. Hilton Head is approximately 40 miles. Charleston is approximately 70 miles. Savannah is approximately 50 miles.
